Job description: Beehaven Inc. is a family owned specialty trade company serving the Puget Sound region through our residential exterior lighting division, our commercial architectural metal division, and our in house fabrication and welding operations. We are hiring a Shop Technician to keep our Edmonds facility running smoothly across warehouse, fabrication support, and facility upkeep. This is a varied, hands on role for someone who stays busy without being told, takes ownership of the space around them, and wants to grow with an established company. No two days look the same. We promote from within, and this position is a proven path into fabrication, welding, installation, and warehouse roles.
Responsibilities:
Assist with material handling, staging, and prep work for fabrication and welding staff Manage scrap metal collection, sorting, and disposal Receive deliveries, verify materials, and help maintain organized inventory Keep the shop, warehouse, and tooling organized, clean, and ready for production Maintain, organize, and track shop tooling and report anything damaged or missing Perform grounds maintenance around the facility, including general upkeep of interior/exterior areas Perform routine janitorial duties to keep work areas, common areas, and restrooms clean Wash and maintain the appearance of company fleet vehicles Drive fleet vehicles as needed for deliveries, pickups, and errands Follow all safety procedures, including PPE requirements and our written Accident Prevention Program Advancement opportunities into fabrication, welding, installation, or warehouse roles
Qualifications:
At least one year of recent experience in a warehouse, shop, fabrication, construction, facilities, or similar hands on environment Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (required for fleet vehicle use) Ability to read a tape measure accurately and follow written and verbal instructions Comfortable lifting 50-100 pounds regularly, standing for full shifts, and working outdoors in varied weather Basic familiarity with hand and power tools such as grinders, saws, and drills Self directed, organized, dependable attendance, and a safety first mindset Forklift experience is a plus but not required; we will certify the right candidate Beehaven Inc. is an equal opportunity employer. Pay:
$20.00 - $25.00 per hour
