Job Description

Take designs from blueprint to installation in a fast-paced work environment. We do structural steel, railings, canopies, stairs, whatever the customer wants. We do it on time, on budget. If you take care of your tools, finish what you start, have pride in your work, then you're looking at the right place. These are in order of importance. If you can't do 1, you can't do 2, and you're #3 will be sub-par. 1.
Interpreting Plans:
Reading and understanding blueprints, sketches, and work orders. 2.
Material Preparation:
Measuring, marking, cutting, and shaping metal prior to welding. 3.
Welding & Assembly:
Joining metal components using various processes (GMAW, GTAW, SMAW) to build structures or products. 4.
Equipment Operation:
Using hand tools, power tools (grinders, saws), and heavy machinery (cranes, forklifts, plasma cutters). 5.
Quality Control:
Inspecting welds and finished products for precision and adherence to standards. 6.
Maintenance:
Keeping tools, equipment, and work areas clean and organized. Qualifications Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately WABO or AWS D1.1 and D1.8 Basic math skills necessary for measurements and calculations during fabrication Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills Proven construction site experience with a strong understanding of safety Machine shop experience a plus
Pay:
$30.00 - $40.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week People with a criminal record are encouraged to apply
