Landscape Project Assistant Kelly Green Native Landscape Encinitas, CA Job Details Part-time $20 - $24 an hour 2 hours ago Qualifications Research Driver's License Proposal writing Driving Landscape design Full Job Description Kelly Green Native Landscape is looking for a reliable, proactive person to work directly alongside John, our owner and project lead, and serve as his right-hand person in the day-to-day operation of our landscape projects. We specialize in California native plants and sustainable landscaping. We would love to find someone who shares that interest and is eager to learn more about native plants, landscape design, project coordination, and the daily operation of a growing landscape company. This is not primarily a desk or administrative position. We're looking for someone who enjoys being out and about, solving problems, staying organized, and getting things done. The position will include a mix of supply runs, job-site visits, project follow-ups, proposal and design assistance, and occasional client communication. Responsibilities Pick up plants, materials, and supplies from local nurseries and vendors Visit job sites and help coordinate day-to-day project needs Follow up with vendors, subcontractors, crew members, and clients Schedule and coordinate deliveries, pickups, and appointments Assist with proposals, estimates, project descriptions, and follow-ups Help with basic design preparation, plant research, site photographs, and measurements Handle small project-related tasks as they arise Keep track of loose ends and help make sure things get completed Help John stay organized and ahead of what each project needs Provide occasional phone, email, and text communication Assist with light administrative work when needed The Ideal Person We are looking for someone who is: Dependable, trustworthy, and proactive Resourceful and comfortable solving everyday problems Organized and able to keep track of multiple projects Friendly, personable, and professional Comfortable driving to job sites, nurseries, and suppliers throughout North County Able to work independently and represent the company well Someone who notices what needs to be done and takes care of it Genuinely interested in California native plants, sustainability, or landscape design A valid driver's license and clean driving record are required. Previous experience in landscaping, horticulture, design, construction, or project coordination is helpful but not required. We are open to an entry-level candidate, student, or recent graduate who is eager to learn and grow into the position. This is a hands-on role with the potential to grow into additional responsibilities involving project coordination, estimating, native-plant design, and client follow-up.
