Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic Landscape Design / Estimator to join our passionate team. In this role, you will lead the development of innovative landscape designs, prepare accurate project estimates, and collaborate closely with clients and team members. Your expertise in landscape architecture, CAD software, and construction processes will be vital in delivering projects that are both beautiful and sustainable.

Estimator Reports To:
Owner / Operations Manager Compensation Base Salary Starting salary: $60,000
65,000 per year , based on experience, qualifications, and demonstrated performance.
Paid weekly. Performance Incentive Program In addition to base salary, the employee will be eligible for performance incentives designed to reward profitable sales and accurate estimating. Net Profit Commission The employee will receive: 3% of the net profit on all landscape enhancement and design-build projects personally sold and successfully completed within budget.
Net profit is defined as:
Total Contract Price minus direct labor, materials, equipment, subcontractors, and other direct job costs.
Commissions will be paid after:
The project is substantially complete, The customer has paid in full, and Any warranty or punch-list items have been resolved. Quarterly Performance Bonus Employees may earn up to $2,500 per quarter by meeting the following goals: Net profit margin target achieved. Sales goals met or exceeded. Estimate accuracy within company standards. Customer satisfaction maintained. Change orders documented and approved. Project paperwork completed accurately and on time.

100,000+ Responsibilities Develop comprehensive landscape design concepts using software such as SketchUp, Rhino 3D, Revit, and AutoCAD, incorporating sustainable design principles.
Create detailed construction documentation, including drawings, specifications, and material lists for hardscape and softscape elements. Prepare precise project estimates by analyzing scope, quantities, labor, materials, and equipment costs using construction estimating techniques. Collaborate with clients to understand their vision, provide professional presentations including renderings and hand-drawn illustrations, and communicate project progress effectively. Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure designs are feasible and align with project budgets and timelines. Conduct site visits for land surveying, land planning, irrigation assessments, and landscape maintenance evaluations. Stay current with industry trends such as GIS mapping (ArcGIS), sustainable landscaping practices, and new CAD or rendering tools to enhance design quality. Requirements Proven experience in landscape architecture or landscape design with a strong portfolio showcasing your work. Proficiency in SketchUp, AutoCAD, Rhino 3D, Civil 3D, Revit, Adobe Photoshop/Creative Suite for rendering and graphic design. Knowledge of GIS tools like ArcView or ArcGIS for land analysis and planning. Construction experience including estimating, project management, land surveying, irrigation systems, and construction documentation. Familiarity with horticulture principles and sustainable landscaping practices. Ability to produce hand-drawn sketches and professional renderings that communicate design intent clearly. Strong communication skills for client presentations and team collaboration. Technical skills in MicroStation or Civil engineering software are a plus.
