(Base salary, plus commission] Job Overview Covington's Nursery established in 1972, is an 18-acre garden center, who is looking for an experienced Landscape Designer who brings creative vision, strong sales skills, and a customer-first mindset to our team. In this role, you will meet with residential clients, design custom outdoor living and landscape plans, drive sales from consultation to close. Key Responsibilities

• Consult & Sell:

  Conduct on-site client consultations, understand their lifestyle and budget, and close landscape design and build projects.

• Design:

  Create engaging, functional landscape and hardscape designs using CAD, 3D modeling, or hand-drawn presentations.

• Customer Care:

  Build trust-based relationships with clients, providing clear communication and an exceptional experience from start to finish.

• Project Coordination:

  Collaborate with installation crews and project managers to ensure designs are built to plan and client expectations are exceeded.

• Estimating & Proposals:

  Prepare accurate cost estimates, material take-offs, and project proposals. Qualifications & Requirements

• Education:

  BA in Landscape Design

• Experience:

  Minimum of [5+ years] of proven experience in residential landscape design, architecture, or outdoor living sales.

• Sales Ability:

  Track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets with consultative closing skills.

• Customer-First Attitude:

  high emotional intelligence, active listening, and a genuine passion for client satisfaction (people-people).

• Technical Skills:

  Proficiency in landscape design software (e.g., Dynascape, PRO Landscape, SketchUp, or AutoCAD) and strong visual presentation skills.

• Knowledge:

  Solid understanding of regional plants, hardscape materials, and basic construction methods and a willing to learn..

• Driver's License:
