• Full-time Clark Propane Plus is hiring a Service Technician / Installer to work between our Winchester headquarters and our Nicholasville fireplace store. You will be based in Winchester and cover installs and service calls out of both locations, so the territory runs from Clark County through Jessamine, Fayette, and the surrounding counties. We are a locally owned propane, fireplace, and outdoor-living company that has served Central and Eastern Kentucky since 1998. Our techs are the reason customers stay with us, and we are looking for someone who takes pride in their work and doing the job right the first time.

What you will do:

This is a hands-on field position. On any given day you may: Set and connect residential and commercial propane tanks Run and pressure-test gas lines, above ground and underground Diagnose and repair gas leaks and regulator or system problems Install gas fireplaces, inserts, log sets, and other appliances, including venting Service, clean, and troubleshoot gas fireplaces and other gas appliances Perform safety checks and document work on every job Represent Clark Propane Plus in customers' homes and businesses with courtesy and professionalism What we require: Class C CDL or higher (required) Working knowledge of hand tools and power tools Installation experience in a related trade (propane, HVAC, plumbing, gas appliance, hearth, or similar) Mechanical aptitude and the ability to read and follow installation instructions and gas codes Ability to lift 75 lbs on your own and team-lift 100 lbs or more, work outdoors in all weather, and work in crawlspaces, attics, and on ladders Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check What helps: Hazmat endorsement is a plus but not required. We will help you get it. Experience with propane systems, gas piping, or fireplace installation Familiarity with NFPA 54 and 58 Customer-facing experience Living in or near Lexington is a plus. It puts you about 20 minutes from both Winchester and Nicholasville, which is ideal for this role.

$45,760 to $58,240 per year, based on experience. Hazmat endorsement and gas and hearth experience earn the top of the range.
