Service Technician Grand Island, Nebraska PB Hoidale Co., Inc. PB Hoidale Co., Inc. is seeking an experienced Petroleum Service Technician to join our team in the Grand Island, Nebraska area. This position is ideal for an individual with strong mechanical aptitude, troubleshooting skills, and basic computer proficiency who is looking to build a stable, long-term career in the petroleum and lubrication equipment industry. As a Service Technician, you will install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair fuel dispensing and lubrication equipment, including fuel dispensers, tank monitoring systems, pumps, and point-of-sale (POS) systems. Candidates with experience in mechanical repair, electrical troubleshooting, wiring, or field service work are encouraged to apply. Key Responsibilities Diagnose, troubleshoot, service, and repair fuel and lubrication equipment Perform preventive maintenance and routine equipment inspections Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems Service fuel dispensers, tank monitoring equipment, pumps, and POS systems Utilize computers and diagnostic tools to identify issues and complete service reports Maintain accurate service records and documentation Follow all company safety policies, industry regulations, and customer site requirements Provide professional and courteous service to customers Participate in ongoing technical training and certification programs Manage service calls effectively while working independently in the field Required Qualifications High school diploma or GED equivalent Minimum of 2 years of experience in the petroleum equipment industry Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills Basic computer skills and the ability to learn service software and diagnostic tools Ability to work independently and manage multiple service assignments Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work Professional communication and customer service skills Reliable work ethic and positive attitude Preferred Qualifications Experience in any of the following areas is a plus: Electrical troubleshooting and repair Low-voltage wiring and controls IP networking and communications systems Construction, plumbing, or mechanical trades Equipment repair or field service work HVAC, automotive, industrial maintenance, or related technical fields Physical Requirements Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds or more Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions Ability to bend, kneel, climb ladders, and work with tools and equipment Ability to travel to customer locations throughout the service area Requirements Valid Nebraska driver's license (or ability to obtain one) Clean driving record Ability to pass a DOT physical and drug screening Ability to meet all safety and compliance requirements Benefits Paid Time Off (PTO) available after one month of employment Health insurance Dental insurance Vision insurance Life insurance 401(k) with company match Cafeteria plan Company-provided uniforms Ongoing training and career development opportunities Long-term career growth with an established and respected company
