About D&J Automotive Services D&J Automotive is a mobile detailing and fleet maintenance company serving individual clients and commercial fleets across the Tacoma and South Seattle corridor. We are a professional, documented, system-driven operation — not a side hustle. Our clients include individual vehicle owners and commercial fleet operators who depend on consistent, expert-level service delivered on-site. We are growing and looking for our first field technician to grow alongside us. What You'll Be Doing Performing mobile auto detailing at client homes, businesses, and fleet yards Executing D&J's standard Service Level 1 through 3 procedures (with a path to Level 4 and 5) Photographing every vehicle before and after service — we are documentation-first Handling all detailing chemicals correctly: right product, right dilution, right surface Keeping the service van organized and inventory tracked Communicating professionally with clients on-site What We're Looking For Valid Washington State driver's license with a clean record — you'll drive the company van At least 6 months of hands-on detailing experience (professional or demonstrable personal) Knowledge of safe chemical handling and surface compatibility Attention to detail — this job is about details Professional appearance and communication skills Smartphone proficiency for photo documentation What You'll Get Competitive hourly pay based on experience Direct mentorship from the owner during your first two weeks Paid training on D&J procedures and service standards Performance bonuses tied to quality scores and client reviews First-in-the-door opportunity — we're building the team from the ground up
