This position is ideal for an experienced leader who thrives in fast-paced environments, understands the importance of safety and accountability, and can effectively manage personnel and equipment during critical weather events. The successful candidate will oversee snow removal crews, conduct safety and equipment inspections, train personnel, and ensure operational readiness during winter weather operations. During the summer season, this individual will support a variety of civil construction projects and equipment maintenance projects. If you have experience leading crews, operating heavy equipment, working around aircraft or airfields, serving in the military, managing construction projects, or working in demanding industries such as oil & gas, public works, utilities, or commercial snow removal, we encourage you to apply. Compensation $20.00 - $40.00 per hour depending on experience Premium snow event pay: $50.00/hour regular time Up to $67.75/hour overtime Significant overtime opportunities during snow season Benefits Health Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance 401(k) Paid Time Off (PTO) Year-Round Employment Career Advancement Opportunities Responsibilities Lead and supervise snow removal crews of up to 20 employees Coordinate and direct snow and ice control operations on airport property Conduct daily safety meetings and job briefings Perform equipment readiness inspections and operational checks Train and mentor operators on equipment, procedures, and safety standards Monitor weather forecasts and prepare crews for storm events Ensure compliance with airport, company, OSHA, and safety requirements Maintain documentation, reports, and operational records Assist management with staffing, scheduling, and crew development Respond to emergency operations during nights, weekends, holidays, and severe weather events Support civil construction and maintenance projects during non-snow seasons Lead by example and assist crews with field operations when necessary Qualifications Required Minimum 2 years of supervisory or leadership experience Ability to lead personnel in a safety-sensitive environment Strong communication and problem-solving skills Ability to work extended hours during snow events Ability to pass a Federal background investigation and obtain airport security clearance Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record Preferred Experience with airport operations Experience with snow removal operations Experience operating heavy equipment including: Wheel Loaders Motor Graders Tractors Skid Steers Snow Blowers Broom Equipment Snow Plow Equipment Dump Trucks Semi Trucks with Air brakes Construction or civil infrastructure experience Mechanical aptitude and equipment troubleshooting experience OSHA training or other safety certifications Military leadership experience Hands on equipment maintenance and repairs Ideal Backgrounds We are particularly interested in candidates with experience as: Snow Removal Foreman Heavy Equipment Operator Construction Foreman Civil Construction Supervisor Airport Operations Personnel Public Works Supervisor Maintenance Supervisor Military Veteran Fueler Frac Hand Equipment Maintenance Technician Utility Crew Lead Airfield Maintenance Worker General Class A or B Contractor Heavy Civil Operators Class A CDL Drivers Work Environment This position requires working outdoors in all weather conditions, including snow, ice, wind, and extreme temperatures.
