Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and skilled Workover Rig Operator to join our team in the oil and gas industry. In this role, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining workover rigs to facilitate plugging and abandonment (P&A) activities. Your expertise will help ensure safe, efficient, and effective operations on oil rigs and related heavy equipment. Responsibilities Operate workover rigs and associated heavy equipment such as backhoe, pumps, forklifts, and tankers with precision and safety awareness. Manage rigging procedures, including setting up and securing equipment for various well intervention tasks. Troubleshoot mechanical issues on pumping systems, hydraulic machinery, and other rig components to minimize downtime. Follow all safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) to maintain a safe work environment. Coordinate with crew members to ensure smooth workflow, proper equipment handling, and adherence to safety standards. Conduct routine inspections of equipment, perform preventive maintenance, and document operational activities thoroughly. Requirements Proven experience operating heavy equipment such as workover rigs, backhoe, forklifts, and tankers on oil & gas facilities. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot issues related to pumping systems, hydraulic machinery, and rigging setups. Valid commercial truck driving license with experience in commercial driving preferred. Outdoor work experience in challenging environments is essential; familiarity with construction site protocols is highly desirable. Ability to operate pump systems efficiently and manage pumping operations safely during well servicing activities. Excellent crew management skills with the ability to coordinate tasks effectively among team members. $26.00 - $28.00 per hour
