Construction Field Technician

Job Description

Build a long-term career with a growing contractor specializing in fuel-system installation and construction. Our crews complete projects for airports, and commercial businesses throughout Wisconsin and northern Illinois. We are looking for a dependable, hardworking individual to join our field installation team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working outdoors, staying active, and learning a skilled construction trade. Previous experience in this field is not required. We will train the right candidate in underground tank and piping installation, job-site procedures, and the operation of equipment such as skid steers, excavators, and other construction machinery. We pay $20.00-$25.00 an hour for dependable construction labor. Anyone with experience installing gas pumps/fuel-system, underground piping, or sold field technician background pay $27.00-$35.00 an hour. Responsibilities Assist experienced crew members with the installation of underground tanks, piping systems, and fuel dispensers Perform excavation work by hand using shovels and other tools Help backfill trenches, spread materials, compact soil, and prepare finished grades Learn to safely operate heavy equipment under the direction of experienced employees Load, unload, organize, and transport materials, tools, and job-site equipment Mechanical assemble the pumps able to read blue prints and direction Follow company procedures, project requirements, and all safety regulations Travel with the crew to project locations throughout Wisconsin and northern Illinois Qualifications Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Dependable, punctual, and willing to work as part of a crew Interested in learning construction skills and heavy equipment operation Learn all assembly and installation for fuel pumps Comfortable performing physically demanding work outdoors in varying weather conditions Able to lift and carry at least 50 pounds Comfortable using basic hand and power tools Able to follow instructions and work safely around equipment Willing and able to travel to different job sites Construction, excavation, underground utility, landscaping, concrete, plumbing, or general labor experience is helpful but not required Benefits Health insurance Dental insurance 401(k) Paid time off Company-paid disability insurance Steady, year-round employment Hands-on training from experienced installers Opportunity to learn heavy equipment operation Career advancement toward becoming a trained installer or service technician This is more than a general labor position.
