Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Rigging Worker to join our dynamic construction and materials handling team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely installing, inspecting, and maintaining rigging equipment used to lift and move heavy materials and machinery on construction sites or industrial settings. Your expertise in rigging techniques, safety protocols, and heavy equipment operation will ensure smooth, efficient operations while adhering to all safety regulations. Duties Set up and secure loads using appropriate rigging methods, ensuring proper load securing techniques are followed for safe lifting operations Operate cranes, including overhead cranes, boom trucks, forklifts, backhoes, excavators, and hydraulic lifting equipment to move heavy materials safely across construction sites or warehouses Conduct thorough inspections of rigging gear, lifting equipment, safety harnesses, and other safety equipment before each use to ensure compliance with safety standards Follow load handling procedures in crane operations, including weight calculations and load balancing to prevent accidents or equipment failure Implement OSHA safety standards and construction workplace safety regulations during all rigging activities Assist with materials handling tasks such as shipping & receiving, warehouse organization, and loading/unloading shipments using appropriate heavy equipment Maintain accurate records of load handling activities, safety inspections, and equipment maintenance logs Qualifications Proven experience working in construction environments or industrial settings with a strong understanding of construction workplace safety regulations Mechanical knowledge related to hydraulics, cranes, forklifts, boom trucks, excavators, backhoes, and other material handling equipment Demonstrated ability to perform load securing rigging methods effectively and safely in accordance with industry standards Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) preferred for operating certain heavy machinery or transporting materials between sites Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and implementation of safety protocols during all rigging and lifting operations Ability to operate various types of heavy equipment such as forklifts, cranes (including overhead cranes), hydraulic lifts, and material handling machinery proficiently Strong understanding of materials handling procedures including shipping & receiving processes within warehouse or construction environments Excellent communication skills with the ability to follow detailed instructions and safety guidelines accurately Join our team as a Rigging Worker if you're passionate about working safely with heavy equipment while contributing to impactful projects.
