Job Description

Job Description Napa Construction is seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Operator to join our growing team. This position requires hands-on experience operating heavy construction equipment, including GPS-equipped dozers , and the ability to work efficiently on active job sites while maintaining safety, accuracy, and productivity. The ideal candidate is dependable, skilled, and knowledgeable in modern grading technology, with a strong understanding of site preparation and earthwork operations. Key Responsibilities Operate heavy construction equipment safely and efficiently, including but not limited to: Dozers (including GPS-guided dozers ) Excavators Loaders Skid steers and other earthmoving equipment Utilize GPS machine control systems to achieve precise grading and elevations Perform site preparation, grading, trenching, and material movement Read and interpret site plans, grade stakes, and GPS models Work closely with superintendents, foremen, and crew members to meet project goals Conduct daily equipment inspections and report maintenance or safety concerns Maintain clean, safe, and organized job sites Follow all company safety policies and OSHA regulations Assist with other tasks as needed to support crew operations Qualifications & Requirements Proven experience as a Heavy Equipment Operator (required) Hands-on experience with GPS-equipped dozers Strong understanding of grading, site work, and earthmoving processes Ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Strong attention to detail and safety awareness Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented Work Schedule Full-time position Monday-Friday (with flexibility as needed based on project demands) Weekends as needed Compensation Competitive pay based on experience Consistent, full-time work Opportunities for advancement within the company
