This role involves performing snow and ice removal operations to ensure safe and accessible pathways, driveways, parking lots, and roadways during winter conditions. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating snow plow trucks and related equipment, working efficiently in challenging weather environments, and maintaining safety standards at all times. Duties Operate snow plow trucks and other snow removal equipment to clear snow and ice from designated areas. Perform routine inspections of equipment to ensure proper functioning and safety compliance. Shovel or use other tools to clear walkways, steps, and small areas as needed. Monitor weather conditions to plan effective snow removal strategies. Apply salt or de-icing materials to prevent ice formation and improve safety. Communicate with team members regarding work progress and any issues encountered during operations. Maintain the cleanliness and minor maintenance of equipment after use. Ensure all work is completed efficiently while adhering to safety protocols. Qualifications Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience operating snow plow trucks preferred. Ability to operate heavy machinery such as snow plows safely and effectively. Physical stamina and strength to perform manual snow removal tasks in cold weather conditions. Good communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic are essential for this role. Prior experience in snow removal or related outdoor maintenance roles is advantageous but not mandatory. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to community safety during winter months while developing valuable skills in equipment operation and outdoor maintenance.
Pay:
$25.00 - $38.00 per hour
