This is a seasonal, part-time, weather-dependent position. Storms do not follow a normal schedule, so drivers must be ready to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays when called. Since 1982, Sentry has built its reputation by taking care of commercial properties and showing up when customers need us most. In snow operations, dependability is everything. Our customers rely on us to keep their properties safe and accessible, and our team relies on every driver to report for assigned storms, communicate clearly, and complete each property correctly. This can also be a path to year-round work. Strong seasonal performers may be considered for full-time landscape opportunities in the spring, based on performance and available positions. What You'll Do As a Snow Plow Driver, you'll operate company equipment and manage assigned commercial properties safely and efficiently throughout each snow event.
Typical responsibilities include:
Operate company plow trucks and snow removal equipment safely Plow parking lots, drive lanes, entrances, loading areas, and other assigned surfaces Push, stack, and relocate snow while protecting curbs, vehicles, landscaping, and site improvements Apply ice melt or deicing materials as directed Complete pre-trip and post-trip equipment inspections and report damage or mechanical concerns immediately Follow assigned routes, site maps, service priorities, and storm instructions Document service times, site conditions, material use, hazards, and completed work accurately Communicate promptly with the snow operations lead throughout the event Work independently while helping teammates finish routes when needed Support shoveling or other snow tasks when operations require it What We're Looking For We're looking for experienced operators who understand that being available and dependable is just as important as operating the plow. Previous snow plow driving experience is required Valid driver's license and a driving record acceptable to our fleet insurer Reliable transportation to the reporting location Ability to respond on short notice and report for assigned snow events Availability for overnight, early-morning, weekend, and holiday work Ability to work extended shifts safely as storm conditions require Good judgment around vehicles, pedestrians, curbs, equipment, and changing site conditions Clear communication and accurate recordkeeping Ability to work outdoors in snow, ice, wind, and cold conditions Ability to lift 50 pounds and perform physical snow-removal work Preferred Qualifications Commercial parking lot and multi-property route experience Experience with spreaders, deicing materials, skid steers, loaders, or sidewalk equipment Experience documenting work through a mobile field application What We Offer $32-$40 per hour , depending on demonstrated snow-plowing experience Overtime paid as required by law Paid sick leave accrued in accordance with Colorado law Company-provided plow truck, equipment, and jobsite instructions A professional, team-oriented operation where safety, communication, and accountability matter Potential consideration for full-time landscape work in the spring, based on performance and available openings Schedule Seasonal, part-time, and on call Hours are weather-dependent and are not guaranteed Must be available when storms occur, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays Start times and shift lengths vary by storm; overnight and extended shifts should be expected Reliable attendance for assigned events is an essential requirement of the position Why Sentry Snow removal is not a side service for our customers.
