Overview Join our dynamic team as a Heavy Equipment Operator and Truck Driver, where you'll play a vital role in septic install construction projects. This position combines skilled operation of construction machinery with professional commercial truck driving, ensuring safe, efficient, and precise handling of materials and equipment on-site. Your expertise will directly contribute to the successful completion of diverse construction utility work, excavation, grading, septic Install and site development projects. Duties Operate heavy construction machinery such as excavators, loaders, backhoes, and Caterpillar equipment with precision and adherence to safety regulations. Drive commercial trucks to transport materials, equipment, and personnel between sites while complying with all federal construction safety regulations and safety procedures. Perform routine maintenance checks and minor repairs on construction machinery to ensure optimal performance and safety standards are met. Assist in excavation activities, site grading, utility locating, and other construction utility work to support project timelines. Follow strict safety regulations during all operations, including equipment safety procedures and construction site protocols. Coordinate with project managers and team members to ensure timely delivery of materials and efficient site operations. Maintain accurate logs of equipment usage, maintenance records, and transportation documentation. Experience Proven experience operating heavy construction machinery such as excavators, loaders, backhoes, or similar equipment within a construction environment. Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record for commercial truck driving duties. Strong mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting and performing basic maintenance on construction machinery like Caterpillar equipment. Construction site experience with familiarity in excavation, grading, utility work, and general construction operations. Knowledge of federal construction safety regulations and adherence to safety regulations at all times. Ability to locate underground utilities using specialized tools and techniques to prevent accidents during excavation activities.
