Job Title :
Loader/Operator Job Description :
The Load/Operator is responsible for operating heavy equipment to load products and maintaining accurate inventory.
Key Responsibilities :
Equipment Operation & Loading:
Operate loaders and lifts safely and efficiently to load customers with product. Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on equipment. Always perform duties with proper PPE and safety awareness. •
Inventory & Financial Management:
Monitor stock levels and coordinate with top buying customers. Manage credit and check transactions, ensuring accuracy in payment collection. Maintain daily records of sales and truck activity. •
Site Maintenance & Safety:
Keep the yard clean and organized to ensure a safe environment for staff and customers. Ensure drivers comply with site safety protocols and report any incidents to the Supervisor or Safety Specialist. •
Administrative Support:
Prepare daily/weekly reports for management as needed. Attend company-sponsored training and meetings.
Qualifications :
Experience:
Proven experience in operations or site management, ideally within the aggregate or construction industry. •
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in operating heavy machinery (loaders, bull dozers, skid steers, & lifts). •
Physical & Mental Fitness:
Ability to perform equipment maintenance, operate machinery for extended periods, and maintain the emotional/physical fitness required for a fast-paced outdoor environment. •
Communication:
Strong ability to read, write, and follow complex oral and written instructions. •
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required. •
Professionalism:
Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and personal standards of appearance/dress code compatible with company standards.
Work Environment :
Ability to lift and move materials up to 50 lbs. Capable of working in outdoor conditions, including extreme weather and dusty environments. Ability to operate equipment for extended periods of time while maintaining focus and safety. A dynamic split between an office setting (scale house) and outdoor operations (aggregate pit/yard). Frequent exposure to varying weather conditions and outdoor elements. Use of both standard office equipment (computers, printers) and heavy industrial machinery. Why Join Us?
