Job Description
Town of Skaneateles Highway Department Employment Opportunity The Town of Skaneateles is seeking a full-time M.E.O. (motor equipment operator) for the Highway Department. The candidate must possess a Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License with an air brake endorsement. Candidates should have a minimum of 3 years' experience in the operation of moderately complex construction and transportation equipment. Candidate must have strong mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and welding skills for maintenance. The candidate needs to be able to perform light to heavy physical labor. Also, the candidate must have the ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions, and have strong, positive communication skills with the public. Starting wage is $28.12. A background check and drug testing is required. Residency of the Town of Skaneateles is preferred. Please submit a cover letter, resume, and references by October 23, 2026 to:
