Responsibilities Operate excavators, dozers, loaders, backhoes, and skid steers on excavation projects; some manual labor may be required Read and interpret site plans and blueprints to complete projects accurately. Perform excavation work involving underground utilities, foundations, sewer, and septic installations. Work closely with laborers and crew members to complete projects safely and efficiently. Qualifications 5+ years experience operating heavy equipment in an excavation or construction environment. Knowledge of underground utilities, sewer and septic systems, grading, and foundation excavation. Ability to read and interpret construction plans and blueprints.
