Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and skilled Heavy Equipment Operator to join our residential excavation and poured wall foundation team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating a variety of heavy machinery to support residential construction projects, ensuring efficient and safe site operations. Your expertise will help drive project success by handling materials, performing equipment maintenance, and adhering to safety standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse construction sites, utilizing your mechanical knowledge and operational skills to contribute to high-quality infrastructure development. Responsibilities Operate heavy equipment such as bulldozers, excavators, and dump trucks with precision and safety. Perform routine inspections and maintenance on construction machinery to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance. Handle materials efficiently using material handling equipment and ensure proper loading and unloading procedures. Follow all safety regulations and use personal protective equipment (PPE) diligently at all times during operations. Maintain accurate logs of equipment usage, inspections, and maintenance activities in accordance with occupational safety regulations. Collaborate with team members to coordinate site activities and ensure smooth workflow on construction projects. Requirements Proven experience operating construction machinery such as dozers, excavators, and other heavy equipment on active construction sites. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to perform basic maintenance and troubleshooting on various types of construction machinery. Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with experience in operating commercial trucks like front loader trucks, dump trucks, or water trucks is preferred. Familiarity with construction site safety procedures, occupational safety regulations, and proper PPE use. Ability to follow detailed instructions and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high safety standards. Knowledge of hydraulics systems and hand tools used in equipment maintenance is desirable. Pay:
$20.00 - $30.00 per hour
