Landfill Heavy Equipment Operator/Truck Driver

Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a skilled Equipment Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating various types of heavy machinery and will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of equipment on the landing. This role requires a strong understanding of equipment functionality and maintenance, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with team members to achieve project goals as they will also be a part of the site maintenance team. A CDL License or willingness to obtain one is preferred. Supervisory experience preferred. Duties 1. Pushing, compacting, and covering refuse daily. 2. Maintaining the correct slopes of the landfill. 3. Keeping the dump area and work area clean and free of debris. 4. Picking up litter. 5. Constructing and maintaining litter control structures. 6. Maintaining all erosion and sediment control structures; grassed areas and landscaping. 7. Constructing and maintaining access and haul roads. 8. Excavating dumping areas, hauling cover and road material. 9. Construct and install new landfill and waste processing components such as liners, piping, manholes and other appurtenance. Working in the gas field onsite. 10. Removing recyclable materials from disposed refuse. 11. Grinding tires and wood waste, occasionally at off site locations. 12. Making repairs on buildings. 13. Keeping the equipment clean. 14. Responsible for directing traffic and assisting customers. Skills Proven experience in heavy equipment operation and routine maintenance of machinery. Strong understanding of commercial driving regulations and practices. Ability to troubleshoot minor mechanical issues with equipment. Excellent communication skills for effective teamwork and coordination on job sites. Attention to detail in following safety procedures and operational protocols. Capability to work in various weather conditions while maintaining productivity. Ability to lead others in a supervisory capapcity.

From $20.00 per hour Expected hours: No less than 40.0 per week
