We are currently seeking a Landfill Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team at Meadowbranch Landfill. What You'll Do As a Landfill Heavy Equipment Operator, you'll play a vital role in the daily operation of our landfill by operating and maintaining equipment that supports safe, efficient waste disposal and site management.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate heavy equipment including: Bulldozers Compactors Wheel Loaders Motor Graders Scrapers Spread, compact, and cover waste in accordance with site procedures and environmental regulations. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip equipment inspections. Perform basic preventative maintenance and report equipment issues promptly. Maintain safe working conditions by following all company policies and safety procedures. Communicate effectively with team members, truck drivers, and customers. Assist with additional landfill operations as needed. What We're Looking For Minimum 1 year of heavy equipment operating experience. Experience operating dozers, compactors, loaders, graders, or similar equipment preferred. Strong commitment to workplace safety. Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions. Dependable, team-oriented, and willing to learn. Previous landfill, construction, mining, quarry, excavation, or earthmoving experience is a plus.
