Job Description
Job Summary Josh King Excavation LLC is seeking an experienced GPS Dozer Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating GPS-equipped bulldozers to perform grading, site preparation, and earthmoving work with accuracy and efficiency. This position requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and quality. Responsibilities Operate GPS-equipped bulldozers safely and efficiently. Read and follow digital grade models and site plans. Perform fine grading, rough grading, and site preparation. Build pads, roads, slopes, ponds, and drainage features to specification. Conduct daily equipment inspections and report maintenance needs. Maintain accurate grades while minimizing rework and material movement. Work closely with foremen, superintendents, and survey personnel. Keep equipment clean and perform basic preventative maintenance. Follow all OSHA regulations and company safety policies. Assist with other job site duties as needed. Qualifications Minimum 2 years of GPS dozer operating experience preferred. Experience with Topcon, Trimble, Leica, or similar GPS machine control systems. Ability to read construction plans and grade stakes. Strong understanding of earthmoving and grading techniques. Valid driver's license required. Must pass E-Verify employment eligibility requirements. Reliable transportation to and from work. Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions. Positive attitude and ability to work as part of a team. Preferred Skills Experience operating additional heavy equipment such as excavators, motor graders, or skid steers. Knowledge of site development and utility construction. Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work. Physical Requirements Ability to sit and operate equipment for extended periods. Ability to climb on and off heavy equipment safely. Lift up to 50 pounds when necessary. Work in hot, cold, dusty, and uneven job site conditions.
