Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and dependable Heavy Equipment Operator to join our construction team. This role involves operating a variety of construction machinery to facilitate building projects, infrastructure development, and site preparation. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in heavy equipment operation, maintenance, and safety procedures, ensuring efficient project execution while adhering to all occupational safety regulations. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to large-scale construction initiatives with a focus on precision, safety, and operational excellence. Responsibilities Operate heavy construction machinery including loaders, backhoes, cranes, excavators, and concrete mixers with precision and adherence to safety standards. Conduct routine inspections and perform maintenance on equipment such as Caterpillar machinery, hydraulic systems, and farm machinery to ensure optimal performance. Handle materials efficiently using material handling equipment like front loader trucks, roll-off trucks, and other specialized machinery. Follow all safety procedures and utilize personal protective equipment (PPE) consistently to maintain a safe work environment. Collaborate with team members to coordinate the movement of materials and equipment across construction sites. Maintain detailed records of equipment usage, inspections, and maintenance activities in compliance with occupational safety regulations. Assist in site setup, including the operation of cranes and other lifting devices for precise placement of materials. Support project timelines by efficiently managing equipment operations and troubleshooting mechanical issues promptly. Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations related to heavy equipment operation and construction site protocols. Skills Extensive experience operating construction machinery such as loaders, backhoes, cranes, and concrete mixers. Strong mechanical knowledge related to hydraulics, equipment maintenance, and troubleshooting. Proven ability to operate material handling equipment including front loader trucks and roll-off trucks safely. Familiarity with construction site safety procedures and occupational safety regulation compliance. Ability to perform routine maintenance on heavy machinery like Caterpillar equipment and farm machinery. Skilled in the use of hand tools for minor repairs and adjustments. Valid commercial driver's license with experience in commercial truck driving is preferred. Knowledge of construction experience including site preparation, material handling, and infrastructure development. Ability to follow detailed instructions accurately while maintaining a proactive approach to safety. Excellent communication skills for effective teamwork across diverse project environments.
