Job Description

Clean Harbors is seeking a Facility Excavator Operator for their La Porte, TX facility. As an Excavator Operator at this facility, you will be responsible for operating a mid-size excavator to stabilize shredded non-hazardous material into a solid state and then filling roll off boxes; moving boxes using a roll off truck; scanning and inventory management. This is an outdoor position.

Shift:

2:30pm-11:00pm. Monday-Friday. OT and Saturdays as needed. Rotating weekends is required.

Training:

Day shift 6:30am-3:00pm for several weeks.

Pay:

$26-28 DOE. Once on 2nd shift will get $1.75/HR for shift diff Why work for Clean Harbors? High school diploma or equivalent required; Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record required; 1+ years' experience operating excavators; Roll of truck experience is a plus; Forklift experience a plus; Ability to use a laptop and knowledge of Microsoft office (excel, word, outlook) as well as willing to learn Clean Harbors programs; Ability to work outside in all weather conditions is required. •LI-SE1 Ensuring that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times; Operates one of the following: primarily mid size excavators but at times may need to operate trucks to move roll off bins around or forklifts; Scanning and inventory management will be a required part of this job, as this is not just an equipment operating role; Completes daily checklist as required for proper operation of the unit being operated; Completes and submits all associated paperwork as required for waste tracking movements; Performs other duties and tasks as assigned from time to time by management and will be required by the needs of the Clean Harbors business.
