Foreman / Superintendent About the Company Richardson-Wayland Ferreira is a leading provider of transportation and infrastructure construction services, specializing in highway construction, traffic signals, ITS systems, overhead structures, and sign installation. The company is committed to delivering high-quality projects safely, efficiently, and with a strong focus on long-term client partnerships and workforce development. Position Summary The Equipment Operator is responsible for operating heavy machinery in support of highway construction, traffic signal installation, overhead structures, and related infrastructure projects. The operator ensures safe, precise, and efficient execution of excavation, grading, and installation activities. Key Responsibilities Operate equipment such as excavators, backhoes, loaders, skid steers, and auger trucks Perform trenching, grading, and foundation excavation for signals, poles, and structures Assist with installation of conduits, foundations, and underground utilities Perform routine equipment inspections and maintenance Follow all safety procedures and traffic control requirements Work closely with ground crews to ensure accurate placement and installation Maintain clean and organized job sites Qualifications 3+ years of experience operating construction equipment Experience in roadway, utility, or signal work preferred Ability to operate multiple types of equipment OSHA certification preferred Valid driver's license (CDL preferred) Skills & Competencies Equipment precision and control Awareness of surroundings and safety risks Mechanical aptitude Team collaboration
Job Type:
Full-time Pay:
$27.55 - $31.55 per hour
