Discover a more connected Equipment Operator career As an Equipment Operator, you'll play a critical role in building and maintaining telecommunications infrastructure by safely operating heavy equipment used in underground utility construction. You'll work alongside experienced field crews to install fiber optic and coaxial networks while helping deliver reliable connectivity to the communities we serve. Responsibilities What you'll do as an Equipment Operator Safely operate heavy equipment including directional drills, mini excavators, backhoes, trenchers, skid steers, vibratory plows, and other construction equipment. Perform underground excavation for the installation of fiber optic, coaxial, and other telecommunications infrastructure. Read and interpret utility locates, construction prints, and work orders. Perform daily equipment inspections and report maintenance or repair needs. Work safely around existing underground utilities while following company damage prevention procedures. Assist with loading, unloading, and transporting equipment between job sites. Work closely with construction crews to maintain production schedules and quality standards. Restore work areas following construction activities. Follow all company safety policies, OSHA regulations, and customer requirements. Travel and work overtime as business needs require. QualificationsWhat you'll need Must be 18 years of age or older. Authorization to work in the United States for this company. High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or relevant work experience. Valid state driver's license with an acceptable driving record. Experience operating heavy construction equipment preferred. Experience in underground utility, telecommunications, or civil construction preferred. CDL-A preferred or ability to obtain. Ability to read construction prints and utility locates preferred. Strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship.

$22.00 - $30.00 per hour Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
