Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Painter to join our construction and renovation team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing surfaces, applying coatings, and finishing various structures to achieve high-quality visual and protective results. This role offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects, including residential, commercial, and industrial sites, ensuring surfaces are properly coated and aesthetically pleasing. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of construction painting techniques, safety regulations, and color application principles, contributing to the overall quality and durability of our projects. Duties Prepare surfaces through cleaning, sanding, plastering, caulking, and surface priming to ensure optimal adhesion of paint or coatings. Apply paint using brushes, rollers, spray guns (including airless and conventional spray systems), and other hand or power tools. Interpret technical drawings, schematics, blueprints, and surface preparation instructions to execute precise painting tasks. Perform structural painting including framing, stucco application, masonry finishing, and restoration work on various building components. Conduct surface inspections for color consistency using visual comparison techniques; adjust coatings as necessary. Follow safety regulations by utilizing respiratory protection equipment and adhering to safety protocols during all phases of work. Assist with renovation projects by installing fixtures, trim carpentry, drywall repairs, and minor handyman tasks. Maintain tools and equipment such as paint sprayers, power tools, brushes, rollers, scaffolding, ladders (ensuring safe use), and other hand tools. Collaborate with project managers and team members to meet project deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards. Support site cleanup and proper disposal of hazardous materials in compliance with environmental safety standards. Requirements Proven experience in construction painting across residential, commercial, or industrial settings. Proficiency with various painting techniques including brush painting, roller application, spray painting (airless and conventional), and surface preparation. Knowledge of color theory for accurate color matching and visual consistency. Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, blueprints, and surface specifications. Familiarity with construction estimating processes related to material needs and project scope. Skilled in the use of hand tools such as caulking guns, putty knives, scrapers; power tools including drills and sanders; scaffolding; ladders; and specialized equipment like paint sprayers. Understanding of safety regulations related to construction sites including respiratory protection measures. Experience with renovation projects involving plastering, stucco application, masonry finishing, fixture installation, framing carpentry, or remodeling is a plus. Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality workmanship.
