Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic team as a Painter Helper and be a vital part of transforming spaces through expert painting techniques and meticulous surface preparation. This entry-level role offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in residential, commercial, and industrial painting projects. As a Painter Helper, you will work closely with experienced painters to assist in preparing surfaces, handling tools, and ensuring safety protocols are followed. This paid position is designed to help you grow your construction experience while contributing to high-quality finishing projects. Duties Assist with surface preparation including sanding, scraping, caulking, and priming to ensure optimal paint adhesion Support the application of paints, stains, primers, and coatings using brushes, rollers, paint sprayers (including airless spray equipment), and conventional spraying techniques Handle hand tools such as scrapers, putty knives, brushes, rollers, and power tools safely and efficiently Set up ladders and scaffolding securely for access to high or hard-to-reach areas while adhering to ladder safety regulations Prepare construction painting surfaces by cleaning, sanding, patching holes or cracks, and applying primer or base coats as directed Qualifications Ability to use hand tools and power tools safely Understanding of construction site safety regulations including proper use of respiratory protection and adherence to safety protocols Basic math skills for measurements and mixing paints or coatings accurately Prior experience with carpentry, plastering, caulking, trim carpentry or masonry is beneficial but not mandatory Strong work ethic with reliable attendance Join us in delivering exceptional craftsmanship on every project!
