Job Overview:

The specialist will have proven skills and experience in drywall repair/replacement and painting, including large areas in retail-type commercial settings. The painter will work efficiently and effectively with minimal supervision and demonstrate the ability to work in a professional manner alongside patrons and employees when completing projects during hours of operation. This includes preparation, painting, clean-up, surface repair, inventory, equipment management, maintenance, and assisting with other projects when needed. The painter shall maintain an organixed and safe work enviroment. The role includes traveling to multiple locations to repair and paint throughout Nassau and Suffolk and is a full time postion. Schedule will include weekends and after-hours shifts occasionally to complete larger projects. Essential Functions and Job Duties Paint cabinets, walls, and doors in various commercial applications. Smooth and prepare surfaces for painting, including sanding and removing old paint. Fill nail holes, cracks, and joints with putty, plaster, or other filler. Remove fixtures such as pictures, doorknobs, lamps, and electric switch covers before painting. Discard all waste generated by painting. Handles loading and unloading of painting materials, and transports materials to installation destination. Performs other related duties and projects as business needs require at the direction of management. Must have reliable transportation.
