In this role, you will be responsible for transforming spaces through expert painting techniques, ensuring high-quality finishes on both commercial and residential projects. Responsibilities Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, scraping, and applying primers to ensure optimal adhesion and finish quality. Execute a variety of painting techniques including brush painting, roller painting, spray painting (airless and conventional), and structural coating applications. Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to accurately execute projects according to client requirements. Use hand tools, power tools, ladders, scaffolding, and other equipment safely and effectively to reach high or difficult areas. Apply specialized coatings such as stucco, masonry finishes, plastering, caulking, trim carpentry, and restoration work on diverse surfaces. Conduct surface preparation for construction painting projects including surface repairs and installation of fixtures or trim as needed. Follow strict safety regulations by wearing appropriate respiratory protection and adhering to safety protocols during all phases of work. Skills Proven experience in construction estimating and interpreting technical drawings or blueprints. Strong knowledge of color theory to achieve desired visual effects and accurate color matching. Expertise in residential painting including drywall finishing, plastering, and renovation projects. Skilled in commercial painting applications such as industrial coatings, spray painting (including airless spray), and surface preparation for large-scale projects. Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, paint sprayers (airless and conventional), brushes, rollers, and scaffolding equipment. Deep understanding of safety regulations related to construction site work and the use of respiratory protection devices. Ability to perform masonry work, stucco application, fixture installation, caulking, trim carpentry, and masonry repairs when necessary. Experience with construction site procedures such as blueprint reading, interpreting technical specifications, basic math calculations for measurements or estimates, and project planning. Knowledge of maintenance tasks related to building upkeep or restoration projects along with handyman skills for miscellaneous repairs.
