Job Description

Pipelayer The Pipelayer will report to the

Foreman Job Overview:

The Underground Utilities Pipelayer is responsible for assembling, installing, and aligning underground pipe systems for water, sewer, storm drainage, and other utilities. This position works closely with equipment operators and laborers to ensure accurate grade, alignment, and joint integrity according to project plans and specifications.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Physical labor tasks such as digging trenches, removing debris, and transporting materials.
Install and repair storm, sanitary, sewer, and pipe systems.
Connect pipes and seal joints.
Covers pipe with earth or other materials.
Levels trench bases, using machinery or hand tools.
Perform taps and tie-ins to existing water mains, manholes, and other utility structures.
Ensure a safe working environment for oneself and the team.
Reports any problems or concerns to the Foreman.
Other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications:

High School Diploma
Speak, read and write English.
Ability to work outdoors all day in all weather conditions.
Able to work safely in city streets within traffic areas
Works with all members of the team and willing to cross-train when needed
Capable of working in all temperatures and climates
Able to lift and carry items up to 40 lbs.
