is seeking an experienced and motivated Pipefitter / Tubing Fitter to join our team in the Hawthorne / Los Angeles, CA area . This position plays a key role in the installation, assembly, and testing of high-pressure tubing systems in industrial environments. The ideal candidate will be safety-conscious, dependable, and have hands-on experience with pipe and tubing installation, particularly stainless steel tubing and specialty fittings. Candidates with experience in stainless steel tubing installation, threaded connections, and cone and thread tubing are strongly preferred. Welding experience is a plus, but this position is primarily focused on pipe and tubing fitting and installation. This position will be responsible for helping operate and coordinate field crews, as well as completing daily reports and project documentation. Responsibilities Install and assemble high-pressure tubing systems in accordance with project specifications. Fabricate, route, bend, and secure stainless steel tubing. Install and maintain cone and thread tubing connections. Work with Swagelok-style fittings and other compression fitting systems. Read and interpret drawings, schematics, and installation layouts. Perform tubing fit-up, assembly, pressure testing, and leak checks. Operate hand and power tools required for tubing installation activities. Help operate and coordinate daily field crew activities. Complete daily reports, work logs, and project documentation. Communicate project progress, material needs, and field issues to supervision. Maintain clean and organized work areas, including daily setup and cleanup. Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE at all times. Collaborate with supervisors and team members to complete work safely and efficiently. Report job site hazards, equipment issues, and quality concerns to supervision. Requirements Hands-on experience with pipe or tubing installation required. Experience with stainless steel tubing and specialty fittings strongly preferred. Experience with threading, cone and thread tubing, or compression fitting systems preferred. Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and installation layouts. Previous experience leading crews or coordinating daily field activities preferred. Ability to complete daily reports and maintain accurate project documentation. Strong attention to detail and ability to perform precise tubing and pipe fitting work. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding work. OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 preferred.
