Paymaker Mechanical Inc. is seeking a Skilled Pipe Fitter to help our company expand. Candidates should be experienced in all types of piping systems and have a broad knowledge of utility systems installations. Key Responsibilities:
1.
Team Leadership and Supervision:
Manage and direct a team of pipe fitters, ensuring that work is completed safely, efficiently, and according to specifications. 2.
Project Planning:
Collaborate with project managers and engineers to plan, organize, and schedule piping installations and repairs. 3.
Quality Control:
Ensure that all piping systems are installed to code, meet safety standards, and are free from defects or issues. 4.
Troubleshooting and Problem Solving:
Address and resolve any issues that arise during the installation or repair process, including unforeseen complications.5.
Safety Compliance:
Ensure that all team members follow safety protocols and industry regulations. 6.
Training and Development:
Mentor and train junior pipe fitters, helping them develop their skills and knowledge. 7.
Material Management:
Oversee the ordering, storage, and proper use of materials and tools needed for the job. 8.
Inspecting Work:
Perform inspections to ensure that systems meet specifications and standards. 9.
Communication:
Act as a liaison between the field team and upper management, ensuring that all parties are informed of progress and any challenges.
Skills and Qualifications:
Experience:
Typically requires several years of experience as a pipe fitter, with a track record of supervisory or leadership roles.
Technical Knowledge:
Strong understanding of pipe systems, blueprints, schematics, and industry regulations.
Leadership:
Ability to manage and motivate a team while maintaining productivity and morale.
Problem-solving:
Quick thinking and effective decision-making under pressure.
Safety Awareness:
In-depth knowledge of safety standards and regulations in the construction and industrial environments.
Educational Requirements:
A high school diploma or equivalent. Relevant certifications in pipefitting, welding, or other trade-related fields may be preferred. Additional training in leadership or management is often beneficial.

Work Location:
In person The role of a Pipe Fitter requires a blend of technical expertise, leadership, and hands-on skills to ensure the successful completion of piping projects on time and within budget.
Responsibilities:
Build, rig, and plumb pipe systems according to specifications
Caliper and measure pipes to ensure proper fit and alignment
Assemble and fabricate pipe components using various tools and techniques
Interpret and follow schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings
Collaborate with other tradespeople, such as HVAC technicians, to complete projects
Maintain and repair existing pipe systems as needed
Perform tube bending for precise pipe configurations
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Pipefitter or in a similar role
Proficient in pipefitting techniques and procedures
Strong knowledge of plumbing codes and regulations
Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Physical stamina to perform manual labor and work in various weather conditions
Strong communication and teamwork skills
