Responsibilities Operate heavy machinery such as dozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, and front loader trucks to assist with trenching, pipe placement, and site preparation Read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, and technical drawings to accurately follow specifications for sewer lines, water systems, and utility installations Perform construction trenching for underground utilities including sanitary sewers, stormwater systems, and water supply pipelines Install pipes using laser-guided equipment to ensure precise alignment and elevation according to blueprint specifications Conduct utility locating to identify existing underground utilities before excavation to prevent damage or accidents Use hand tools and welding techniques for pipe fitting, joining, and finishing tasks such as concrete forming and pipeline assembly Follow all safety regulations including federal construction safety standards to maintain a secure work environment at all times Requirements Prior experience operating heavy equipment such as dozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, or front loader trucks is highly preferred Knowledge of construction trenching techniques for utility systems including sanitary drains, sewer lines, stormwater management, and water supply pipelines Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings accurately; experience interpreting construction plans is essential Familiarity with utility locating methods and underground utilities installation procedures Proficiency with hand tools, welding equipment, concrete finishing tools, and pipe laser technology for precise installation tasks Understanding of federal construction safety regulations and adherence to safety protocol guidelines at all times Experience working on construction site projects involving sanitary sewers or wastewater systems is a plus Strong physical stamina with the ability to perform manual labor in various weather conditions Join us in building vital infrastructure that supports communities!
