We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pipe Supervisor to oversee the installation, repair, and maintenance of piping systems in various facilities, including oil and gas, petrochemical, and industrial settings. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of piping systems, supervising a team of pipefitters and technicians, and adhering to industry standards and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise Pipefitters and Technicians:
Direct and coordinate the work of pipefitters and technicians, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
Plan and Schedule Work:
Prepare and implement project plans, schedules, and resource allocation to ensure efficient use of labor, materials, and equipment.
Inspect and Test Piping Systems:
Conduct regular inspections and testing of piping systems to identify potential issues and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards. Coordinate with
Engineers and Designers:
Collaborate with engineers and designers to ensure that piping systems are designed and installed according to specifications and industry standards.
Manage Materials and Inventory:
Oversee the receipt, storage, and issuance of materials and inventory, ensuring that adequate stock levels are maintained and that materials are properly labeled and tracked. Ensure Compliance with
Regulations:
Familiarize yourself with relevant industry regulations, codes, and standards (e.g., ASME, API, OSHA) and ensure that piping systems and operations comply with these requirements.
Train and Develop Team Members:
Provide on-the-job training and coaching to pipefitters and technicians and develop their skills and knowledge to ensure they are equipped to perform their duties effectively.
Maintain Accurate Records:
Keep accurate records of work performed, materials used, and testing results, and ensure that all documentation is up-to-date and compliant with company and regulatory requirements.
Troubleshoot and Resolve Issues:
Identify and resolve issues with piping systems, including leaks, blockages, and other operational problems, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence. Communicate with
Stakeholders:
Liaise with clients, engineers, designers, and other stakeholders to ensure that piping systems meet their requirements and expectations.
Requirements:
Experience:
Minimum 5-8 years of experience in piping supervision, pipefitting, or a related field, with a strong background in piping systems design, installation, and maintenance.
Certifications:
Preferred but not required AWS Certified Welding Inspector, NCCER Pipefitter, OSHA 30, or other relevant certifications.
Skills:
Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to supervise and coordinate multiple projects simultaneously. Proficient in MS Office, AutoCAD, and other piping design and management software.
Physical Demands:
Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with frequent exposure to construction sites, heavy machinery, and hazardous materials. Must be able to lift, bend, and climb as required.
Work Environment:
Location:
Various industrial and construction sites, including oil and gas, petrochemical, and industrial facilities.
Shift:
Rotating shifts, including days, nights, and weekends, as required.
Travel:
Occasional travel to project sites and offices may be required.

Pay:
