Pipefitter Marine Flow - 2.3 Portsmouth, VA Job Details Full-time $32 - $38 an hour 9 hours ago Benefits Travel reimbursement AD&D insurance Health insurance Dental insurance Paid time off Vision insurance 401(k) matching Professional development assistance Life insurance Referral program Qualifications Pipe blueprint interpretation Maintenance Pipefitting Mechanical fittings Blueprint dimension interpretation Water systems Manufacturing Piping system maintenance Full Job Description Marine Flow is hiring skilled pipefitters with marine, industrial, and commercial experience in Hampton Roads and beyond. This position is full-time and a permanent direct hire opportunity. The right individuals will have experience and proven craft ability as a pipefitter. Extensive experience in shipyard and industrial settings is required. Multi craft experience is a plus. Candidates must have the ability to obtain base clearance (DBIDS). This position may require travel.
Requirements:
  • Must have 5+ years of pipe fitting experience
  • Must be able to read blueprints and project specifications to install and maintain piping systems that carry water, steam, chemicals, and fuel
  • Marine, industrial, and manufacturing experience
  • Must have your own tools
  • Strong communication and computation skills
Job Duties:
  • Build and repair naval, industrial, and commercial piping systems
  • Visit sites to assess potential problems or needs
  • Collaborate with project managers, other craft, or engineers
  • Available to occasionally travel to different job sites (per diem available for overnight travel)
Working Conditions:
This position will require the occasional lifting of up to 75 pounds and frequent lifting up to 25 pounds. Standing or working 80% of the time. Requires ability to work in confined spaces, kneeling and working while lying on stomach/back, as well as crawling and repetitive movements of arms and hands. Expect environmental exposure to high heat and humidity as well as cold temperatures, dirt, dust, and debris. Salary Range - $32 - $38/hour This position is long-term, direct hire, and full-time.
