About this role
Competitive Pay:
This position offers an hourly wage ranging from $30.00/hr. to $40.00/hr., depending on experience and qualifications. At OTC, being a Fabricator/Pipefitter means playing an important role in building reliable, custom-engineered solutions for our customers. In this position, you will fabricate and assemble custom pump and filtration piping systems while ensuring every project meets our safety, quality, and delivery standards. What You'll Do:
Fit and assemble fluid-handling systems and components according to custom assembly blueprints, work instructions, equipment manuals, customer specifications, and quality requirements.
Verify that purchased components conform to blueprints, specifications, and project requirements.
Lay out, fit, and construct structural steel framing, bracing, brackets, and related components.
Assemble pumps, motors, gearboxes, piping, valves, and other mechanical components.
Assemble piping and tubing components according to manufacturer specifications.
Perform applicable fabrication processes, which may include structural welding, copper soldering, PVC solvent welding, and tube bending.
Complete required project documentation related to finished work, testing, and inspections.
Communicate with supervisors, engineers, and project managers regarding work progress, technical issues, and project instructions.
Collaborate with assembly team members and supervisors to meet quality standards and production deadlines.
Safely operate forklifts and other applicable material-handling equipment.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
Follow all company safety rules, policies, procedures, and core values.
Perform other duties as assigned.
What You'll Need:
High school diploma or equivalent.
At least two years of mechanical assembly, fabrication, pipefitting, or related experience.
Basic math and measurement skills.
Ability to read and interpret technical documents, blueprints, schematics, and assembly instructions.
Proficiency with a variety of hand and power tools.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Good organizational and time-management skills.
Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively as part of a team.
Manual dexterity and the physical ability to perform the essential functions of the position.
