Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic construction team as a Journeyman Plumber and take pride in delivering high-quality plumbing solutions across residential and commercial projects. This role offers an exciting opportunity to apply your extensive plumbing expertise, mechanical knowledge, and construction experience to ensure safe, efficient, and code-compliant plumbing systems. As a key player on-site, you will lead installation, maintenance, and repair activities while adhering to all safety regulations and building codes. Your skills in blueprint reading, pipe threading, welding, and schematic interpretation will drive project success and customer satisfaction. Duties Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems in residential and commercial buildings following construction plans, schematics, and local building codes Read blueprints and schematics accurately to determine pipe layouts, system configurations, and installation procedures Operate hand tools, power tools, pipe threading machines, and welding equipment safely and efficiently during installation tasks Connect gas piping systems and ensure proper functioning of HVAC-related plumbing components Conduct system inspections to identify issues with plumbing system maintenance and repair needs; perform necessary repairs promptly Collaborate with construction teams to coordinate plumbing installations with carpentry, HVAC, and other trades on-site Ensure compliance with safety regulations, building codes, and environmental standards during all phases of work Requirements Proven construction experience with a strong background in plumbing installation, maintenance, and repair Valid journeyman plumber license or equivalent certification demonstrating mastery of plumbing skills Experience reading construction plans, blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately Skilled in pipe threading, welding (including gas piping systems), and the use of hand tools and power tools for construction plumbing tasks Knowledge of local building codes related to residential and commercial plumbing systems; ability to ensure building code compliance at all times Familiarity with schematics for plumbing systems including gas piping and HVAC integration Ability to lift heavy materials safely; experience with heavy lifting techniques on construction sites Mechanical knowledge of plumbing system components such as pumps, valves, fixtures, and piping materials Strong customer service skills when interacting with clients or project stakeholders during field service or remodeling projects Experience working on construction sites with a focus on safety regulations; ability to follow safety protocols diligently Basic math skills for measurements and calculations; carpentry or handyman experience is a plus for versatile job performance Join us as a Journeyman Plumber where your expertise will help build reliable infrastructure while advancing your career in a fast-paced construction environment.
