Role Overview We are seeking a skilled professional to handle the upkeep, installation, and repair of plumbing infrastructure within diverse commercial settings. Whether operating solo or guiding a team, you will utilize your expertise in construction schematics and industry regulations to ensure every project meets rigorous safety and quality standards. Core Responsibilities Handle the installation and maintenance of various commercial systems, including domestic water, gas lines, drainage, and compressed air, to ensure reliable building functionality. Analyze blueprints and technical diagrams to accurately plan and execute plumbing layouts that align with design specifications and regulatory requirements. Install fixtures and perform rough-ins across various commercial and institutional spaces to support efficient site operations. Assemble and fabricate piping using diverse materials like copper, cast iron, and steel, employing techniques such as soldering and press-fitting. Diagnose complex plumbing failures and implement effective repairs to restore system performance and minimize downtime. Collaborate with site leadership and other trade professionals to ensure project timelines are met and site standards are upheld. Uphold strict adherence to plumbing codes and safety protocols to foster a secure working environment for the entire team. Manage company-provided equipment and vehicles with care, ensuring any maintenance needs are reported immediately. Submit accurate documentation, including time sheets and work orders, to keep administrative records current. Provide mentorship to junior staff members to help improve the overall technical proficiency of the crew. Required Qualifications At least 5 years of documented experience in commercial plumbing, including service or new construction projects. Possession of a PA or NJ Journeyman Plumber license is highly preferred, though those actively pursuing licensure with relevant experience are encouraged to apply. Demonstrated ability to interpret complex MEP drawings and construction specifications. Solid understanding of IPC codes and OSHA safety standards, or a commitment to obtaining necessary certifications. Capacity to manage tasks autonomously and organize your schedule effectively across various job locations. A clean driving record and a valid license to operate company-provided vehicles. Physical capability to handle heavy lifting up to 75 lbs., navigate tight spaces, and work at heights for extended durations. Excellent interpersonal skills to maintain professional relationships with clients, inspectors, and general contractors. Additional Qualifications Certification or experience in backflow prevention testing. Background in service contract work and preventive maintenance routines. Experience working within specialized environments like healthcare or educational facilities. Prior experience in a leadership capacity overseeing small teams or helpers. We are currently seeking a licensed professional to support our operations throughout the Philadelphia and South Jersey regions. The successful applicant will bring over five years of commercial experience, a strong grasp of print reading, and proficiency in various piping systems and underground installations. Compensation and Perks Competitive hourly pay ranging from $34.00 to $46.00, based on your specific licensure and background. Eligibility for overtime pay at a time-and-a-half rate for any hours exceeding a 40-hour work week.
