Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and dependable Quarry Laborer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be actively involved in the extraction and processing of mineral resources, supporting surface and underground mining operations. Your energetic approach and commitment to safety will ensure smooth, efficient production while maintaining a safe work environment. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work outdoors with heavy machinery, contributing directly to the vital process of resource extraction. The ideal candidate is eager to learn, adaptable, and ready to take on physically demanding tasks with enthusiasm. Responsibilities Operate various types of surface mining equipment such as excavators, bulldozers, and water trucks to facilitate extraction activities Assist in drilling operations using machine drilling equipment and horizontal drilling techniques for mineral extraction Support underground mining operations by operating underground equipment like loaders and conveyors, ensuring safety standards are met Conduct manual handling tasks including heavy lifting, material transport, and site cleanup to maintain operational efficiency Follow all safety protocols and regulations including OSHA standards, PPE requirements, and industry best practices during all activities Perform routine maintenance checks on machinery such as drilling machines, industrial equipment, and heavy machinery to ensure optimal performance Adhere strictly to safety standards in production environments, including proper use of safety gear and hazard awareness during outdoor work Qualifications Proven experience operating surface mining or underground mining equipment such as excavators, loaders, or drills Mechanical knowledge with the ability to perform basic repairs or troubleshooting on industrial equipment Experience with underground coal mine operations or similar underground environments is highly desirable Knowledge of safety regulations including OSHA standards and proper PPE usage in mining or construction settings Ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling tasks safely over extended periods Familiarity with construction site operations, industrial equipment maintenance, and heavy equipment operation such as Caterpillar machinery or forklifts Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) or experience operating water trucks or tankers is a plus Outdoor work experience in rugged environments with a strong focus on safety protocol adherence Join our team as a Quarry Laborer and be part of a vibrant environment where your skills contribute directly to resource development!
