Job Description

Door Plant Trainee Career Path:
Direct progression to Door Craftsman / Assembler within 3 to 6 months Ready to build a hands-on career with guaranteed room to grow? We're looking for dependable, hard-working individuals to join our team as Door Plant Trainees . You don't need years of door-building experience-we will pair you with experienced mentors who will teach you the trade from the ground up! What You'll Do As a Trainee, you will cross-train in both our Interior and Exterior Door Shops . Through a structured 3-to-6-month On-the-Job Training (OJT) program, you'll learn how to take raw materials and turn them into precision-built door units.
Your Daily Focus:
LearnBuild:
Work 1-on-1 with senior craftsmen to learn door assembly, sub-assemblies (hinges, jambs, heads), and custom door builds.
Operate ToolsMachinery:
Gain hands-on experience setting up, operating, and maintaining industrial saws, routers, pneumatic nail guns, and automated production lines (MagnumEagle lines).
Quality Inspection:
Learn how to read work orders, measure accurately, inspect finished wood components for defects, and ensure every unit meets quality standards.
Material Handling:
Prepare materials for production, stock worktables, and shrink-wrap/palletize finished orders for shipment.
Safety First:
Maintain a clean, organized work area and strictly follow safety standards and PPE requirements to keep yourself and your teammates safe. What We're Looking For Eagerness to
Learn:
Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a desire to master specialized woodworking tools and machinery.
Dependability:
Great attendance, punctuality, and a proactive mindset-asking questions when needed and offering help when tasks are complete.
Safety-Minded:
Willingness to wear all required PPE (safety glasses, hearing protection, steel-toe boots) and follow safety guidelines at all times.
Physical Capability:
Comfortable working in a heavy industrial environment , standing for long periods, and performing physical labor (lifting, bending, pushing, and pulling materials).
Basic Tool Skills:
Familiarity with basic power/hand tools or prior experience in manufacturing, construction, or warehousing is a plus. Why Join Our Team?
