In this energetic role, you'll assist skilled roofers in installing, repairing, and maintaining various roofing systems, including metal roofing and single-ply membrane roofing. Your enthusiasm and attention to safety will contribute to efficient project completion while gaining valuable hands-on experience in the construction industry. Duties Assist with the installation, repair, and maintenance of roofing systems such as metal roofs and single-ply membranes Use hand tools and power tools safely to cut, shape, and secure roofing materials according to project specifications Set up ladders, scaffolding, and safety harnesses to ensure secure access to roofs and elevated work areas Interpret technical drawings and construction plans to support accurate installation procedures Perform heavy lifting of materials like shingles, metal panels, drywall, siding, and other construction supplies Follow all construction safety regulations and safety protocol adherence guidelines to maintain a safe work environment Support the fabrication and installation of siding, stucco, drywall, caulking, and metal stud framing as needed Experience Prior construction experience or hands-on outdoor work experience preferred but not required; training will be provided for motivated candidates Familiarity with roofing repair techniques and roofing materials such as metal roofing or single-ply membranes is a plus Knowledge of construction estimating, interpreting technical drawings, and working with construction plans is advantageous Experience using hand tools, power tools, ladders, scaffolding, and safety harnesses in a construction setting Demonstrated ability to perform heavy lifting safely over extended periods during roofing or remodeling projects Previous handyman experience or involvement in remodeling projects enhances your suitability for this role Understanding of construction workplace safety regulations ensures compliance with all safety standards Join us in building durable roofs that protect homes and businesses!
