Job Description
Overview We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Water Proofing & Air Barrier Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction and restoration, with experience in various trades. This position requires a hands-on approach to water-related projects, including installation, maintenance, and repair work. The Water Technician will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and functionality of water systems while adhering to industry standards. Duties Perform installation, maintenance, and repair of plumbing systems and fixtures. Conduct construction inspections to ensure compliance with building codes and regulations. Read and interpret blueprints and schematics for project planning and execution. Utilize hand tools and power tools for various construction tasks including carpentry, concrete forming, and masonry. Execute restoration work related to water damage, including drywall repair, flooring installation, and painting. Collaborate with team members on construction projects involving heavy equipment operation and fixture installation. Engage in remodeling tasks such as cabinet installation, door hanging, trim carpentry, and tile laying. Maintain a clean and safe work environment on construction sites. Requirements Proven experience in construction management or related fields. Proficiency in using Bluebeam for project documentation and collaboration. Strong skills in plumbing, electrical work, plastering, welding, concrete finishing, and stucco application. Familiarity with heavy equipment operation and safety protocols on construction sites. Ability to read blueprints and schematics accurately. Experience with restoration processes related to water damage is highly desirable. Knowledge of various trades including carpentry, flooring installation, caulking, glass installation, framing carpentry, roofing, and construction painting. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
