In this role, you will be responsible for performing various roofing-related tasks, including installation, repair, and maintenance of different roofing systems. The ideal candidate will have outdoor work experience, proficiency with hand tools, and the ability to work safely at heights using ladders. This position offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects such as shingle roofs, Modified Bitumen roofing membranes, aluminum capping, and siding installation. The Roofing Technician plays a vital role in ensuring the quality and durability of roofing systems for our clients. Duties Install, repair, and maintain various roofing systems including shingle roofs and Modified Bitumen roofing membranes. Use hand tools effectively to carry out roofing tasks with precision and safety. Work outdoors in different weather conditions while adhering to safety protocols. Safely operate ladders and other equipment necessary for roofing projects at heights. Assist in siding installation and aluminum capping projects as required. Conduct inspections to identify roof damage or issues requiring repair or replacement. Prepare work sites by setting up scaffolding or safety barriers as needed. Follow project specifications and safety guidelines to ensure quality workmanship. Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and effectively. Experience Prior outdoor work experience is preferred, especially in roofing or construction environments. Familiarity with hand tools used in roofing and siding installation is essential. Experience working at heights using ladders safely is required. Knowledge of different roofing materials such as shingles, Modified Bitumen membranes, and aluminum capping is advantageous but not mandatory; training will be provided if necessary. Ability to read and interpret technical instructions or blueprints related to roofing projects is a plus.
