Job Overview Join our dynamic team as a Roofer Laborer and play a vital role in delivering high-quality roofing projects across diverse environments. As a Roofer Laborer, you will assist skilled roofers with various tasks, ensuring that all work is performed efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards. Responsibilities Assist with the installation, repair, and maintenance of various roofing systems including metal roofing, single-ply membrane roofing, and other specialty materials. Use hand tools, power tools, scaffolding, ladders, and safety harnesses to perform tasks safely and accurately. Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints to support roofing and siding installation projects. Prepare job sites by setting up scaffolding, staging materials, and ensuring all safety protocols are followed. Support in heavy lifting activities, material fabrication, and precise cutting or trimming of roofing components. Follow all construction workplace safety regulations diligently to maintain a secure environment for yourself and team members. Assist with other construction tasks such as siding installation, stucco work, masonry repairs, framing carpentry, or remodeling projects as needed. Qualifications Previous construction experience or hands-on work in roofing or related trades is highly preferred. Knowledge of construction estimating, blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and technical drawings. Familiarity with construction safety harnesses, ladder use, heavy lifting techniques, and OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) safety regulations. Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, tile saws, caulking guns, and other fabrication tools safely. Outdoor work experience in various weather conditions is essential for success in this role. Strong work ethic with a focus on safety protocol adherence and quality craftsmanship. Additional skills such as metal stud framing, plumbing basics, carpentry (including trim carpentry), restoration work, or handyman experience are advantageous.
