Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Roofing Technician to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining various roofing systems while ensuring safety and quality standards are met at all times. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work outdoors on diverse projects, utilizing your construction expertise to deliver durable roofing solutions. The ideal candidate will have a passion for craftsmanship, a strong safety mindset, and experience working with different roofing materials and techniques. Responsibilities Install, repair, and maintain roofing systems including shingle roofing, metal roofing, single-ply membrane roofing, and other specialized materials. Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints to accurately execute project plans. Use hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment safely and efficiently to complete roofing tasks. Adhere strictly to construction safety regulations, including the proper use of safety harnesses and ladder protocols. Conduct thorough inspections of roofs to identify damage or deterioration requiring repair or replacement. Assist with siding installation and other exterior building components as needed. Lift heavy materials safely during installation or restoration projects while following proper lifting techniques. Qualifications Proven construction experience with a focus on roofing or exterior building systems. Knowledge of roofing repair techniques and installation methods and willingness to learn. Familiarity with construction estimating, blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and technical drawings. Experience working outdoors in various weather conditions with outdoor work experience preferred. Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and fabrication machinery safely. Understanding of construction workplace safety regulations including the use of safety harnesses and ladder use protocols. Skills in caulking, framing carpentry, remodeling, restoration work and handyman tasks are a plus. Strong physical stamina for heavy lifting and prolonged outdoor activity; ability to interpret technical plans accurately.
