Role Description The Framer will be responsible for constructing and assembling wood and metal framing for multi-family and residential projects, ensuring structures are square, level, and built to specifications. Day-to-day tasks include reading and interpreting blueprints, measuring and cutting materials, installing joists, studs, rafters, and sheathing, and collaborating closely with site supervisors and other trades. The Framer will inspect completed work for adherence to building codes and company quality standards, maintain a clean and safe work environment, and use hand and power tools in a responsible manner. This is a contract role and is fully on-site, located in Castroville, TX, requiring reliable attendance and consistent coordination with the project team. Qualifications Demonstrated experience in framing for residential or multi-family construction, including rough and finish framing. Ability to accurately read blueprints, drawings, and construction plans, and translate them into precise framing layouts. Proficiency in measuring, cutting, and installing lumber and other structural materials using standard hand and power tools. Knowledge of local building codes, safety regulations, and industry-standard construction practices. Strong physical stamina and manual dexterity, including the ability to lift materials, work at heights, and perform tasks in varying weather conditions. Detail-oriented approach with a focus on quality, alignment, structural integrity, and efficient use of materials. Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with supervisors, fellow crew members, and other trades. Reliable transportation to the job site in Castroville, TX, and willingness to work the hours required for contract projects. Previous experience with multi-family or residential construction projects is highly beneficial. Familiarity with faith-driven or community-focused projects is a plus, as is a commitment to integrity and respectful teamwork.
