Bring Your Hot-Air Welding Skills Indoors Work Indoors with Fans. Home every night. No roofs, ladders, weather delays, or traveling jobsite to jobsite. Ecopool manufactures modular steel swimming pools at our facility in Salado, Texas. Each pool is finished with a reinforced PVC membrane that is cut, fitted, detailed, and hot-air welded in our factory. If you have experience hot-air welding PVC or TPO commercial roofing membrane , you already have much of the skill we need. We will teach you our membrane system, pool details, and production process. We are looking for people who already understand how to make a strong, consistent thermoplastic weld. Why Commercial Roofers Are a Great Fit The same skills used in quality single-ply roofing transfer directly to this work: Hand-welding PVC and TPO Automatic membrane welding Setting temperature, speed, and pressure Performing test welds Seam probing Peel testing Corners and detail work Penetrations and transitions Recognizing cold welds, overheating, contamination, and voids Keeping membrane clean and properly positioned Producing consistent, watertight seams The difference is where you do it. Instead of working on rooftops in Texas heat, you'll perform precision membrane work inside our manufacturing facility on a clean, level shop floor . What You'll Build You'll fabricate reinforced PVC interiors for factory-built swimming pools, including: Floors and walls Long straight seams Wall-to-floor transitions Inside and outside corners Steps and benches Main drains Returns Skimmers Light niches Other complex waterproof details The finished membrane remains visible to the customer, so we care about both weld integrity and craftsmanship . What You'll Do Hand-weld reinforced PVC membrane up to 72 mil Operate automatic hot-air membrane welders Set and adjust welding temperature, speed, and pressure Perform test welds before production Probe completed seams Cut and peel test coupons Identify and repair unacceptable welds Measure, cut, position, and fit membrane panels Read basic shop drawings and layouts Maintain clean welding surfaces and equipment Take responsibility for the quality of completed work We're Looking for People With Experience In Commercial PVC roofing Commercial TPO roofing Single-ply roofing Roofing service and repair Roofing detail work PVC/TPO installation Hot-air membrane welding Experience with systems such as the following is valuable: Sika Sarnafil Duro-Last FiberTite Carlisle Versico Johns Manville Elevate GAF Similar commercial PVC or TPO systems Experience using Leister or similar hand welders and automatic welding equipment is especially valuable. What We're Really Hiring For We're not looking for someone who simply worked on a roofing crew. We're looking for the person who could be trusted with the welding.

You should be able to:

Produce a straight, consistent weld Hand-weld difficult details Recognize whether a weld is good or bad Adjust your welding setup as conditions change Probe and inspect your own work Work accurately with a tape measure Follow drawings and dimensions Work carefully around finished surfaces Take pride in clean workmanship A Better Environment for the Same Core Skill Commercial roofing is demanding work. This position gives an experienced membrane welder an opportunity to use that same specialized skill in a different environment: Work in our indoor facility with fans No rooftop work No ladders No tear-offs No rainouts No working directly under the Texas sun No traveling between jobsites No overnight travel Same work location every day Home every night Year-round manufacturing work Welding Test For experienced candidates, we care more about your actual welding ability than how polished your résumé is. Pay & Benefits $26-$30/hour depending on experience and demonstrated welding ability. Higher compensation may be available for exceptional candidates with advanced PVC welding, leadership, or training experience.
