Roof Technician On The Fly Bird Control Herriman, UT Job Details Part-time | Full-time $22 - $28 an hour 1 day ago Benefits On-the-job training Qualifications Outdoor work experience Ladder use Driver's License Construction site experience Hand tools Roofing Full Job Description Bird & Wildlife Control Installer On The Fly Bird & Wildlife Control Position Summary The Installer is responsible for the on-site installation of bird and wildlife deterrence and exclusion systems, working directly at client properties. This is a hands-on field role requiring physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to work safely at height and in varied environments. The Installer represents On The Fly's quality and professionalism directly to the client and is a key contributor to the company's reputation and repeat business. Qualifications Comfortable working at heights (roofs, ladders, lifts) for extended periods Physically able to lift and carry equipment/materials (typically 25-70 lbs) Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Basic hand tool proficiency; willingness to learn specialized installation techniques Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently with minimal supervision Prior experience in construction, pest control, roofing, or similar trades is a plus but not required — training provided Key Responsibilities Installation & Fieldwork Install bird deterrent and exclusion products according to company SOPs Read and follow job-specific work orders, site plans, and inspection notes accurately Ensure installations meet quality and durability standards before leaving a job site Troubleshoot on-site obstacles (unusual structures, access issues, site conditions) and adapt installation approach as needed Cleaning Clean and remove droppings, nesting material, feathers, and other debris from affected areas as part of the job Safely bag, contain, and dispose of removed material according to company protocol Sanitize/disinfect treated areas where required Leave all work areas clean and presentable before departing the site Safety & Compliance Follow all safety standards for ladder use, roof access, fall protection, and working at heights Properly use and maintain personal protective equipment (PPE) Operate company vehicles and equipment safely and responsibly Identify and report unsafe site conditions before beginning work Comply with OSHA and any applicable local safety regulations Equipment & Inventory Maintain assigned tools, ladders, and installation equipment in good working condition Track and report material usage for each job Load/unload and organize materials and equipment for daily routes Quality Control & Documentation Take before-and-after photos of each installation for the client file and quality records Complete job completion forms/checklists accurately and on time Flag any issues, damage, or additional wildlife activity discovered on-site to the office/quality control lead Support callbacks or warranty visits as needed to correct or reinforce prior installations Scheduling & Communication Follow the daily route/schedule provided by dispatch Communicate delays, complications, or schedule conflicts promptly Coordinate with the scheduling/dispatch lead on job sequencing and time estimates Working Conditions Outdoor work in varying weather conditions Regular exposure to heights, roofs, and confined spaces (vents, eaves) Physical, active role requiring bending, climbing, and lifting throughout the day Local travel between job sites within the service area

$22.00 - $28.00 per hour
